Chelsea dominated the first half and fully deserved the 19th minute lead they earned when their two summer signings combined, Kalidou Koulibaly flashing home a powerful volley from Marc Cucurella's corner.

Goals for Chelsea from Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James were canceled out by Pierre-Emile Hojbejerg and Harry Kane, with the English striker delivering a header goal in the final minute.

There was a clear intensity in the match that saw three yellow cards handed out to players as well as Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte receiving yellow cards 

Chelsea were furious that referee Anthony Taylor had failed to penalise Rodrigo Bentancur for a challenge on Kai Havertz.

At the final whistle both Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel were sent off for their reaction to a handshake, as everyone piled in.
